私は急性期病院における重度意識障害患者の看護を学ぶため、ニューロサイエンス看護学への進学を志しました。大学院では神経可塑性理論や患者を全人的に捉えるための理論や技法、脳神経疾患の最新の治療、脳神経疾患患者が遭遇する倫理的問題等さまざまなことを学びました。特に重度意識障害患者を中心とした看護とは何か、を探究することに在学中多くの時間を割き、学びを深め、ニューロサイエンス看護学の発展に努めてきました。また米国のBarrow Neurological Institute（BNI）の演習では、ニューロサイエンスを専門としたCNSやNPの実践を学び、彼らと話し合うことで、高度実践看護師に求められる知識・技術・態度の理解を深めました。今後は重度意識障害患者や高次脳機能障害患者を全人的に理解し、脳神経疾患患者を中心とした看護の実践や、脳神経疾患看護に携わる看護師がやりがいをもって働くことができる職場環境の構築を、生まれ育った神戸市で目指します。I entered a course in neuroscience because I wanted to study nursing of patients with severe consciousness disturbance who present at acute care hospitals. In graduate school, I studied various related aspects like theories concerning neuroplasticity, theory and techniques of holistic patient support, the latest available treatments in the field of brain neurological disorders as well as the ethical dilemmas facing patients with neurological disorders. I spent much time studying the content of nursing for patients with severe consciousness disturbance in particular, trying to contribute to the field of neuroscience nursing.
