We are proud to report that our Master’s student, Kotomi Sakai, and Doctoral student, Phuong The Nguyen made significant contributions to the field of public health.

1. Ms. Kotomi Sakai, 3rd year MPH course student, was selected for a research grant from the following foundation.
Daiwa Securities Health Foundation 2020 (47th) Research Grant
Research theme: Development of a screening test for dysphagia by machine learning

Ms Sakai also published a paper in the journal Clinical Interventions in Aging. In Press 2020.

2. Mr. Phuong The Nguyen, 1st year DrPH course student, was presented his research at The 79th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Public Health. He won the International Participant Award.
