    Inside St. Luke's International University

In 1902, missionary Dr. Rudolf B. Teusler established the forerunner of the present St. Luke’s International Hospital. While providing medical care here, he soon realized the need to improve the level of nursing practice in Japan, and started a nursing school with 10 students in 1904. This school eventually grew into St. Luke’s College of Nursing in 1964 and St. Luke’s International University in 2014. As a pioneer in nursing education, we have sought to apply the latest methods, teaching the most advanced nursing content to nurture nurses who can take the lead in practice, applying the most advanced nursing-related technology as necessary.
We are pleased to introduce an overview of the university and its activities.
