  6. Eligibility:

    Applicants must have proper academic and research background and special knowledge/achievements in this field as their academic major, corresponding to the following items.
    1.Those who hold a doctoral degree in the field of public health or global health.
    2.Those with at least five (5) years of practical experience in an international organization such as the World Health Organization (WHO) or in the field of global health.
    3.Those who have the ability to perform duties smoothly through communication in Japanese and English.

  7. Documents to submit:

    1.Curriculum vitae (A4 size, free format, a photo of your face should be attached)
    Essential items: Name, sex, date of birth, contact information, telephone number, e-mail address, academic background, degrees conferred and names of the conferring universities, licenses/certifications obtained and their official numbers/names of conferring bodies, employment history, activities in academic societies/other social bodies, special rewards/criminal record.
    2.List of achievements (A4 size, free format): Indicate original articles and peer-reviewed papers using any mark.
    3.Statement of aspirations for education and research at this university (A4 size, one page, free format)
    4.One (1) letter of recommendation (free format, A4 size, sealed in envelope)
    5.One (1) of your main publications in your specialized field (A4 size)
    6.List of teaching (educational) record (A4 size, free format): Year, university, subject you were in charge of, and other necessary items should be included.
    7.List of research achievements (A4 size, free format): Year, research/project title, name of grant, amount of grant, and other necessary items should be included.
    8.Copies of certifications/licenses (A4 size)
    *All documents are to be made in either English or Japanese. Submitted documents are used solely for screening purposes in the hiring process for the above-mentioned position, and information contained therein will not be provided to any outside bodies under any circumstances. No submitted documents will be returned to the sender.

  8. Selection process

    Document screening, interview, presentation (15 min.), sample class (15 min. conducted in English)
    The presentation theme will be about “3. Statement of aspirations for education and research at this university” in “7. Documents to submit.” The sample class with be about contents regarding “Master of Public Health: Global Health Sciences” in “4. Subjects in charge.” Because classes in the Graduate School of Public Health are done in English, the sample class must also be conducted in English.
    ・Interviews, presentations, and sample classes are scheduled as follows (Japan Standard Time).
    Option 1: Wednesday, February 7, 2024, 1:00pm to 3:00pm
    Option 2: Monday, February 5, 2024, 10:00am to 12:00pm
    ・Interviews with the university President for applicants who successfully pass the above screening are scheduled as follows (Japan Standard Time).
    Tuesday, February 13, 2024, 2:00pm to 4:00pm
    *Please understand that any expenses necessary for the selection process, such as travel expenses, are to be incurred by the applicant.

    *The details of the schedule after the document screening will only be notified individually to successful candidates.
