A Public Symposium, The path to ending AIDS: Mobilizing the city for Tokyo 2020 was held on December 2. It was hosted by the Sexual health research program for Tokyo 2020 research group, funded by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. St. Luke’s International University supported this event as its one of co-sponsors. Following opening remarks from Dr. Hiroyoshi Endo, dean of SLGSPH, presentations were given by Dr. Elenor Gouws-William from UNAIDS Geneva, Dr. Junko Tanuma from NCGM, Dr. Stuart Gilmour from SLGSPH and Ms. Lisa Otsuka, SLGSPH student. They talked about the current situation surrounding HIV prevention and the preparation for 2020 Tokyo Olympics from their respective points of view. After that, speakers and panelists engaged in lively discussion with the participants.
