Open Campus/Symposium was held on October 20
Open Campus/Symposium was held on October 20, Sunday.
In Part I, the symposium the road to successful publishing in public health was delivered in Hinohara Hall.
We invited both Dr. Mellissa Hudson from Journal of Clinical Oncology and Dr. Zoë Mullan from The Lancet Global Health which are two of the most influential medical journals as keynote speakers. Dr. Hudson talked on Strategies to increase the impact of research publications. Dr. Mullan talked about some tips to be published in peer-reviewed journals as well as an introduction of the Lancet global health.
After lectures, Dr. Tsuguya Fukui, president of St. Luke’s University joined with two speakers in panel discussion and they engaged in lively discussion with participants.
In Part 2, Introductions to the School was conducted in a class room on the 3rd floor. The sessions included welcome remarks and overview from Dean Endo, description of the curriculum, and course introductions. Also, faculty, staff and current students provided personalized assistance to participants regarding application procedures, programs, and scholarships at the consultation booths.
We appreciate the large group of participants who attended our Open Campus.
