Genetics Nursing

The aim of this course is to nurture competent nursing staff who can make ethically sound decisions to protect the human rights of people with genetic issues and their relatives, with respect to the dignity of life and people’s right to make informed decisions based on their own beliefs and values. They need to provide the best possible information and support to people faced with decisions concerning familial cancers, birth defects, genetic neuromuscular diseases and other similar conditions, and be able to cooperate with support groups and medical institutions involved in normalization activities.
